Textbook. Falanghina 101. Bitter lemon, tonic, strewn fennel seed, pistachio and a pithy stone fruit pucker at the seams. Dutifully fresh, impeccably poised, far from profound, but dangerously easy to drink.
High-toned floral scents accent flavors of crunchy green apple and pithy lemon in this taut, well-constructed wine. Its juicy fruit flavors take on notes of white smoke and minerals as the wine opens in the glass, leaving an impression of the volcanic origins of the Irpinian soils.
Feudi di San Gregorio Cutizzi Greco di Tufo is intense straw yellow color with a golden shimmer. Light aromas of ripe pears, apricots, apples, fern and mint. Lively acidity and spicy minerality typical of a vine cultivated in Tufo, with an incredibly long finish showing soft notes of balsamic.
