Light golden robe with greenish hues. Bright and expressive nose, with passion fruit, fresh cut grass, green guava, citric notes. In the palate crisp freshness, lingering grapefruit And litchi aromas and beautiful bone-dry finish.
In the glass the wine has colors of pale green and gold. Upfront aromas of fresh tarragon and dried grass greet you, followed by exotic notes of guava, lime, and ripe pineapple.
The nose shows dried rose petals, patchouli, white pepper, and jasmine. It then opens up to aromas of sweet pea, tinned pear and dried limes. The plates is rich with more pears, juicy acidity and a racy dry finish.
Fragrance of pure white grapefruit, intense tropical fruit, ripe gooseberry and fleshy kiwi fruit over-lay Iona’s distinctive herbal and floral undertone. The palate is keenly balanced showing cut green apples and lime marmalade followed by great minerality and length.
Bosch pear, stone fruits, lemon curd, flint stone, fresh white flowers, and honey.
The palate is clean and bright, with accents of ruby red grapefruit, honeysuckle and ripe melon followed by a burst of crisp, refreshing acidity.
Aromas and flavors of apricot, cantaloup, and lemon follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate, with a creamy texture and a fruity finish. Rich, flavorful and intense character.
For white wine, I’d say it’s light-medium-bodied and sports light thyme and cut-grass accents over plentiful cantaloupe with golden crisp apple flavors. Meyer and tangerine shine throughout the tasting experience.
Dry, juicy and intensely flavored on the palate, with bright citrus notes and a pop of guava. The finish is long, carried by vibrant, refreshing acidity and a dash of salinity.
Floral notes, bright citrus, a hint of chamomile, and the characteristic diesel aroma are followed by green apple flavors.
93 pts James Suckling. This 2023 Sauvignon Blanc is a true reflection of the balanced and steady season, showcasing a broad array of aromas from white peach to chamomile and lemon zest. The palate is full with a creamy, supple texture accented by a fresh thread of acidity that builds from the mid-palate and adds a lifted, lively note to the persistent finish.
